These pieces were inspired by studies of actual doors found in some of the crumbling areas of a capital city in East Africa: a place where climate, neglect and time had transformed the original into objects of weathered beauty.
Ceramic Door sculptures, modelled, press-moulded using different clay bodies, slips and glazes; some fired to stoneware, others to earthenware. The framed door pieces are approximately 26cm width, 39cm length, 2cm Depth; box framed, with fitting for wall hanging.
